Our latest outreach was Friday, February 17, 2024. Not usually a Friday night, but lots of our friends in need showed up for a fantastic meal, some warm blankets and comforters, and great shoes. Most importantly, love and care from the Heaven Sent family doing God’s work with huge smiles all around.
We were a bit worried our regular friends wouldn’t know that we would be there this Friday night. However, as God advises in Acts 10:20 NLT, “Get up, go downstairs, and go with them without hesitation. Don’t worry, for I have sent them.”
Smiles graced our faces when we saw the line slowly growing as we began to set up. Heaven Sent provided a meal from Pollo Tropical, which included chicken, rice, plantains, and many delicious desserts. Everyone who came hungry left with full bellies with plenty to take away with them as well.
We also had volunteers with us from South Florida College of Nursing. They checked pulses and helped with anything our friends needed in the way of medical supplies. Thank you, SFCN, for joining us and sharing your love with those in need, too!
It was a beautiful night filled with God’s love.
