June’s outreach was truly wonderful! The entire week was unbelievably rainy. We knew, though, that on this day, God would clear the skies for this event and He did. It did not rain a drop. We were able to serve our friends in need a fantastic meal consisting of barbecue chicken, fresh grilled hot dogs, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, baked beans, salad, red velvet cake, key lime cake, banana pudding, fresh oranges and bananas, along with lots of to-go snacks, soda and water.
Our generous donors this month included Milams Market and Publix Supermarket. Milams provided the chicken and new rain ponchos and underwear for all. Publix kindly provided the fresh fruits for our meal.
For this outreach we were so happy to have Dontavious and Emilio freely giving their time and talent for haircuts to any and all who wanted one. All those who received a haircut walked away with huge smiles and many thanks!
Thank you Lord for giving us a clear day to feed our friends and make their day special. Thank you to all of our extremely generous donors and volunteers who helped to make this beautiful day a success!
