Our May outreach was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do and who we do it for.
One of the most touching moments of the day came when several of our less fortunate friends greeted us with the words “You have been missed.” Hearing those words warmed or hearts and reminded us that ministry is about more than providing food, clothing or hygiene products – it’s about building relationships, showing the love of Christ and bringing hope to those who need it most.
While we strive to serve in downtown Miami at least once a month, we are committed to following the lead of the Holy Spirit. Wherever He directs us, we go. Our mission has always been to meet both physical and spiritual needs, sharing not only resources but also the life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This outreach was especially meaningful because we were blessed to be selected as one of the organizations to receive donations from Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Zone Rally of South Florida that Holy Cross Lutheran – North Miami hosted in April. Thanks to Cessann, the President of the organization, for choosing us to be the recipient of this generous donation. Through their generosity, we received clothing, hygiene products, and other essential items that allowed us to better serve those in need. We are truly grateful for their support and partnership in helping us extend God’s love to our community.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to @Ampaero for providing socks, hygiene products and the little Jesus gifts that brought smiles to so many faces. Thank you for your generosity and for being part of what God is doing through this ministry.
Another special thank you goes to @AllysonGiveBack for joining us in service. It is always a blessing to work alongside others who share a passion for loving and serving people. Their team brought encouragement, compassion and willing hands that made a tremendous impact.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers. Whether you cooked a meal, donated supplies, prayed, packed items or served directly during the outreach, your willingness to be the hands and fee of Jesus is deeply appreciated. Your love and dedication are truly Heaven-sent and we thank God for each and every one of you.
As we look ahead to our next outreach, our hearts are filled with anticipation for all that God will do. We know that He is moving, healing, restoring and drawing people closer to Him. We are honored to be vessels that He can use for His glory.
May we continue to answer the call to serve, love without conditions and boldly share the Gospel wherever God sends us. As Jesus reminds us:
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
May our lives continue to shine brightly for His glory.
To God be all the glory.
